Someone recently said to me “why don’t you write a blog about being a Mum, you’re so funny!”
Hmmm this comment came immediately after a rather long rant about having spent my morning picking Weetabix out of my hair whilst fending off doorstep salesmen, any number of unwanted phone callers and a giant spider in the lounge, accompanied by a teething, grumpy toddler demanding to be carried at all times. I hadn’t meant it to be funny. It really didn’t feel like it at the time. But with the wonderful thing that is hindsight I guess I would’ve laughed at me to. After all, hardly the end of the world is it?
So with some nervousness I’ve decided to give blogging a whirl. And who knows, maybe I’ll also be able to laugh at myself a little more because of it.
Have you been able to look back and laugh on a rubbish day recently or is your sense of humour still down the back of the sofa?
